A slitting production line consists of three main components: a decoiler, a slitter, and a recoiler. Material is re-wound in the recoiler's slit covering as it passes through the nip between the two circular cutting wheels (one above and one below). To determine the proper components, shank size, tool kit, horsepower, and tension for the material to be cut, equipment suppliers and end users must collaborate.
